Rob and Mishelle, both Northern Michigan natives, met at Hope College and married in the fall of 2007. Rob earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science which he used to pursue a career as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. After working for the Oakland A’s minor league baseball team and North Carolina State University training athletes, Rob felt the farm pulling at his heart. Rob and Mishelle decided to move back home to be by family and the land that Rob had grown up on and loved. Rob has had the opportunity to follow his passion for sports, training and basketball by earning the position as Boys Varsity Basketball Coach for the Central Lake Trojans.
Mishelle has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a minor in Studio Art. Currently, Mishelle works at the Charlevoix County Community Foundation as a Program Associate leading the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) and overseeing the numerous scholarship funds. Mishelle is also the Program Coordinator for Leadership Charlevoix County.
Rob and Mishelle both enjoy being active, hanging out with friends and family, and getting involved in the community. They have two rescue dogs, Denali and Taya, whom they love to spend time with. They also enjoy working on projects around their new home.
